Glasgow Central: Building collapses at station as fire causes major disruption Dozens of services have since been cancelled and the station will be closed until further notice.

These images coming out of the Glasgow fire are horrific. It seems the fire has been put out. I am praying for all my friends and colleagues in Scotland. Please stay safe.

The footage coming from Glasgow city centre tonight is very upsetting. I was there only a couple of weeks ago and still consider myself a Glaswegian born and bred. That corner of Central Station is absolutely iconic. Thankfully no one appears to be hurt but small businesses and livelihoods are lost.

I so love Glasgow. It's heartbreaking,

The Union St fire is so intense, it's hard to say just what devastation it will bring to the City Centre yet.

I hope we will see this eventually under control, & urgent discussions by all levels of Government & owners to assist rebuilding a true cornerstone of Scotland's busiest railway station 💚
