One worm peeks out of a wormhole and asks, “What’s gotten into everyone today?” The other lies relaxed on a lounge chair and replies, “Yeah, but the sun’s shining, so I don’t care.” A large sun shines above them.

⸻ ALT Text (EN) Ink drawing on A4: A black ink stain in which Dieter, a worm wearing headphones, can be recognized. His facial expression appears relaxed and calm, surrounded by splashes and flowing ink.
Black-and-white ink drawing in A4 comic format with three panels. In the first panel, a large dark bird stands facing forward. A small worm is on the ground in front of it, saying in a speech bubble: “Oh no, not today.” The scene feels tense. In the second, narrow panel, a close-up shows the bird’s head. The bird says: “You’re right. It was a hard day.” In the third panel, the bird and the worm lie next to each other, relaxing in the sun. The bird calmly talks about its workday, saying: “Where do I even start? Ten meetings today. Guess how many were useful…”
English (ALT text): Black-and-white ink drawing of a scorpion standing on a rock beneath a huge, brightly glowing full moon. The sky is deep black, dotted with fine stars. The intense moonlight creates dramatic contrasts on the rock and the scorpion. The scorpion raises its tail in a threatening pose, ready to strike, while the surroundings suggest a lonely, barren landscape.

Here are a few drawings from the last two months. Including the new Space Cop Diary webcomic and daily sketchbook drawings, I’ve never drawn this much before.

ALT-Text (EN): A pencil drawing shows a massive cube-shaped spaceship hovering at night above a barren, rocky landscape. Several bright beams of light shine downward from the underside of the cube onto the ground. The sky is densely filled with stars. In the foreground are rocks, and in the lower right corner stands the small robot Pip on a hill, looking up at the hovering ship.
The Commission for Planetary Event Management and Controlled Boredom has officially approved the new episode of Space Cop Diary. Enjoy.

ALT-Text (EN): Ink drawing on A4 paper: An astronaut stands in empty space in front of an easel, painting the universe. The surrounding blackness appears to flow directly onto the canvas, visually merging space and the painted surface.
Ink drawing on A1: A small astronaut sits relaxed on one of the brightly glowing rings of a large planet in outer space, reading a newspaper. The background is deep black, speckled with small star-like dots. The planet appears massive and darkly textured, while the ring curves around it in a bright, dynamic sweep.

Black-and-white ink drawing of a huge, overly complex coffee machine covered in pipes, gauges, and valves. Two very small people stand next to it. The person on the left delivers a long monologue in a large speech bubble: “I’ve spent over thirty years refining this machine. Every bean begins in the bean classification array. Weight, color, density. Even the slightest deviation is removed. In the rotational alignment module, each bean is rotated sixteen times and its fiber structure precisely aligned. The aqua refinery unit filters and remineralizes the water, stabilizing it at exactly 94.2 degrees Celsius. Within the pressure regulation core, brewing pressure is calibrated in stages and continuously monitored. After exactly three minutes, every variable is accounted for. The result is good coffee. That’s it.” The person on the right replies in a small speech bubble: “I prefer instant coffee.”
I have to admit, I keep expecting someone to tear this apart at any moment and say how boring it is :(
But so far, it’s been nothing but positive feedback — thank you so much for that!💚
Maybe boredom is a luxury now. Scientifically speaking, boredom is necessary. It forces reflection. Consolidation. Processing. Besides… When was the last time you read the news from Earth? Or any other planet? Do you know what’s happening there? Compared to that, boredom can be oddly appealing.
A new episode of Space Cop Diary is out now.

I’m looking forward to hearing your first impressions and thoughts on the new comic. I recommend starting here:

The result is sometimes rough and sketchy. Lines stay imperfect. Smudges remain visible. But maybe that raw look is a welcome contrast to the growing flood of ultra-smooth AI-generated images. I want to keep the process direct and honest — just pencil, paper, and ideas. More episodes are coming.
This project is intentionally simple. Each page is drawn in pencil in my sketchbook. After that, the pages are scanned, the text is added, and that’s it. No further digital polishing or refinement.
Cover image in the sketchbook: an astronaut looking up at the “Space Cop Diary” title.
A few days ago, I released my webcomic Space Cop Diary. The first four episodes are already available to read at kplx.art.
Quick note for artists and anyone into drawing — you can also find me on Cara. It’s an art platform without any AI stuff. I really enjoy it there.

You can draw along, interpret the prompts in your own way, skip weeks, jump in anytime, or simply use the words as inspiration for your own sketches and ideas. There are no rules, no pressure, and no expectations.
Inkfriday drawings + prompts: www.kplx.art/pages/inkfri...
Every Friday I’ll create a small or large ink drawing inspired by a single prompt word. Sometimes it will be quick and minimal, sometimes more detailed and time-consuming. If you feel like joining in, you’re very welcome to do so.
