In all of our negative partisanship and schadenfreude, let's not forget that we'd like Chelsea to be as strong as possible for when a certain group of oil mascots from Manchester comes to town.

Likely has a (government issued) "Don't tread on me" license plate, because irony is dead.
It is bad enough that these inevitable "narratives" are proliferating, but Arsenal fans and news sources don't need to be the ones giving them oxygen. Let them chirp.
Sorry, I meant *they* weren't down a man. Chelsea reference. Whatever, I can't brain with this.
Good thing we weren't actually down a man, as we would have had an even harder time for whatever reason.
Now hear me out, as I may be unorthodox, but what if we tried to maintain possession when leading a match?
Third category: freeways that drove demolition of neighborhoods but then never ended up getting built.
Similar arguments: don't require vehicle inspections or be lax on registration and valid plates (which involves confirming insurance coverage), because it is simply too expensive and onerous.
Instead of working to make expensive car ownership less of a requirement, we're making it lawless.
Using an aggregate time is meaningless, as it doesn't normalize for the amount of corners they earn. Not a responsible framing.
North Loop mentioned!
Those fit in my Golf. :)
I hate that these kinds of oil shocks are the only thing that has slowed the constant march to larger and more dangerous gas guzzling vehicles in the past, but at least there is a silver lining to the economic damage.
Maybe every middle manager doesn't need an F-150?
Good catch. In my reveling, I missed that detail. Thankfully, the domain redirects!
Just ONE of the F-15 jets that were destroyed in Kuwait cost the same amount as the entire KC Streetcar downtown starter line project.
Streetcars, rails, construction jobs, maintenance facility, wires... all of it.
Don't let them tell you we can't afford high quality modern transit.
From FIFA's World Cup volunteer training info. THIS is how you do a "getting here" section. Stop just sending "parking" info and lead with values that normalize the use of transit.
And if you're going to validate parking (you shouldn't), you should pay bus fares too.
This train is completely sold out. What if we valued these people's time?
And here's the latest on the return trip
Totally. Beyond just the inconvenience, it can't be a valid alternative if you can never count on it.
It will be interesting to see how it performs when a daily trip is added for World Cup.
That @amtrak.com delays are completely routine and expected is entirely a policy failure.
This train is quite busy today, so 100s of people lose part of their day because we won't force freight railroads to follow the law. We want this to be an attractive option!
We could be so much better.
I've seen a lot of these, and they are well targeted! But I assume yours are for services that help facilitate these moves, and not from the countries themselves? I always wonder how feasible it really is.
They kinda have to do that, as there isn't an authentic option in men's sizing.
We must maintain a crippling monopoly on housing, driving up prices so that many people can no longer afford adequate shelter, which protects our vital green space by causing people to live full time in it!
Next time you need to buy something, skip Amazon and do a quick Google of which retail outlet has the better political / environmental / labor policy. There's always SOME daylight between them. Costco vs Sam's, Home Depot vs Lowe's, etc.
Vote with your money.
Our money is our most powerful voice.
Eventually, the market corrects, but imagine what a difference we could make if we just chose the even marginally more agreeable provider without even having to give up anything. Buy local, and then buy least worst.
Having spent several months living outside of the U.S. in recent years, it is harder and harder to have optimism about our future as a country.
Present politics aside, we've just so thoroughly messed things up that fixing them will take generations and a desire to be better that is absent.
This is some dark pattern nonsense. Not surprising considering the source.
So do you toggle it on to unsubscribe? Or is toggling it on resubscribing?
My only gripe is the league-wide deal with Nike. I've always found their kits to be cheap and poorly constructed, and the interesting quirk of being a male fan of the women means there isn't an authentic kit option for me.
I'll still buy one, of course.
Or build housing in our eviscerated cities so progressive people can live here and inspire a different form of politics.
Taller order in Kansas, but most of the midwest has the shells of once great cities that could be "great again."
This was a great show. Equally funny and silly and poignant and thought-provoking. Hop on the @kcstreetcar.org and head to the Copaken Stage to check it out!
