Not being able to control what I see is the biggest problem with facebook. I’d leave; Problem is it’s the only platform that has people I know from real life. TikTok fills my need for random strangers.

I’m disillusioned. I relied on Facebook for connection to people I know. Zuck devolved it into a loop of tabloid quizzes. Twitter left us a couple of years ago. Instagram is pointless. TikTok is cool but going away. Bluesky has potential. So far just Trump bashing reruns, no solutions.
I dated a cat lady who had a list of things she wanted me to be so she didn’t have to die alone with just her cats.
One thing was not be allergic to cats.
Lack of sufficient income has played a major role in the ones that got away. Not just the conservative women who do expect a man to be the breadwinner. Enlightened liberal women who expect income parody. Witty and charming alone hasn’t worked for me.
I don’t know what legal action would work to bring down death by violence in the USA. Other civilized countries control firearms a lot more than we do. It works there.
