That photo makes me feel a bit sick. And I’m not even a footie fan.
I love this film. Used to be on telly twice a week when I was a kid, and it popped up again recently for the first time in years and is still fantastic. Really funny, creative, imaginative, OTT, and stuffed full of star turns with twinkles in their eye.
A properly thrilling series
The end of the second episode is so melodramatic, thrilling, terrifying, shocking, devastating. It’s my fave series of all time and I love that it’s getting a rerun. As you say: poor George. Also: poor Ruth.

I didn’t know Agatha liked it! It put me in mind of Hitchcock a few times. V impressed by it !
I’m a bit taken aback by it. It’s really powerful. Mark Eden and Nanette Newman v good in smaller roles. Would like to know your thoughts when you see it

Via good old @talkingpicturestv.bsky.social I’ve just watched Seance on a Wet Afternoon. Really tense, a great score, nice shots of 60s London. I don’t know Kim Stanley but she’s acting her socks off here. Very sinister and creepy. Recommended!

I still have Kinda. I’ve kept most of the sleeves but the rest have gone. Shada propped up a sash window in my last house. Wish I had kept em all really, but got to be practical.
One of the annoyances of Howards Way was the endless blather about who has a controlling interest in this company or the majority shareholding in that company. Obvs there were other annoyances, but that was the most annoying annoyance.
Suits droning on about shares. Urgh.
