Weekends are for footy ⚽ - mostly A Leagues (Victory), WSL (Chelsea), NWSL, Matildas, and whatever's easy to access.

I won't get to see the Matildas play a quarter or semi final in Sydney, but I am on track for a South Korea v Japan semi which could be a lot of fun. And this tournament will be the first time I get to see Japan live.

Also, memories of this game tonight with taking the lead, losing our heads, and a very late Alanna Kennedy goal, 😅

Funnily enough, the Aussies took the difficult route to get to this massively promoted final at the MCG by losing early in the tournament and then the weather almost knocked them out early by default as well. Maybe a positive omen for tonight's Matildas game.

I'm there for the final as well. We have to hope...

My biggest question mark with Joe is how he changes things up if they aren't working in game. It's not something he's really known for in his international club management...

This was meant to be our more defensive midfield... I also think if we anticipated the goalkeeper was going to change for this one, we should have at least stayed with the same CB pairing for all 3 group games.

I'm going to be in Sydney next weekend but it's looking like the Matildas might not be 😑

It's so frustrating when players let the ball roll past them so they can turn and run but there's an opposition player right there.

Now we are seeing the other side of heavily rotated staring line-ups. Yeah it can keep players fresh, but it can lead to a lot of disjointed and unsettled play.

Everyone is too jittery... They need to relax a bit.

A thing I have liked about Joe's starting line-ups is the fluidity of the midfield. They rotate around quite a bit, in game. Curious to see how it works with these three. Feels quite defensive.

Lebanon’s Social Affairs Minister Haneen Sayed has announced that approximately 454,000 Lebanese people have registered as displaced.

She urged those who have not yet registered to do so, and said the Sports City Stadium in Beirut would be opened as a shelter for families in the municipality. In Akkar there are also multiple shelters.

Sayed added that “hot meals and food rations are being distributed in various Lebanese regions in cooperation with organisations and associations, with numbers increasing gradually to ensure no person is left without food.”

Israeli attacks on Lebanon have displaced more than 454,000 people in just a few days.

454,000 people. Because they felt like bombing Beirut.

Watching USA v Colombia and annoyed all over again that we were still in coaching limbo for the She Believes Cup last year... A few of those international windows we had would have been perfect for Joe to tinker with

Something something... 2-0 is the most dangerous scoreline in football... 😑
