The idea of a Direct happening soon isn't the issue, it's the laundry list of hypothetical releases that shouldn't be taken without a pinch of salt.
As for 'clearing the table', since when has Nintendo ever given a toss if an announcement for one of its games is 'small'?
Quite a lot of people seem to be taking these Direct rumours entirely at face value. I had sort of hoped said people would have grown to be a bit more cautious and sceptical, but here we are 🤷
I understand the hype, I understand the want, but rumours are just that, and can be made by anyone.
