When I make the slightest enhancement to my long-running project I remind myself that "all progress is progress".
There are only so many lines of code that will exist in the project at the end - there are only so many steps in this journey - it is bound to end if I keep working toward the end goal.

I'm working on a glove that will contain an ESP32, a magnetometer, and an MPU6050 but I need to #solder them all together. My iron tip doesn't seem to be as hot as the rest of the iron. Is oxidation really the issue? Does it really make the tip cooler?
I bought a brass sponge, but can that fix it?

Every time I'm about to do something crazy (like refactor large parts of the project or try to implement a big aspect of the project) I commit my code. If the work starts to get wild, I'll even spawn a branch so that I can commit as I go.
I've never been upset that I've used git, only relieved.

This brings to mind Visera Cleanup Detail, a game where you only see the aftermath of what would have been an action-packed FPS game... and you have to clean up the mess.
It's a very relaxing game.

I don't practice with Blender enough. I always have to rematch the donut tutorial every year to get the shortcuts and common tools back into my brain.
