Thank you everyone who shared my blog from November about First Bus' discriminatory attitude towards the 9U bus. Thanks to public and political pressure, First Bus has finally changed its position and will accept Disabled Bus Passes on the 9U.

If only there was an organisation of some kind, one responsible for healthcare, that could support trans youth to have HRT under professional supervision, regular blood tests, etc... Wouldn't that be nice...

This is only among patients that self-report to the clinics. Most probably won't do so for fear of investigations or being cut off from the gender clinic. Given that wait times are often years to even get into a clinic, the actual number is certainly substantially higher.

I also want to highlight in particular @kevinstewartsnp.bsky.social who consistently supported and advocated for Disabled people in Aberdeen. Raising the issue of accessible public transport with Ministers, First Bus, and Transport Scotland.
