Right now I'm doing that with a MaybeCallable<T> utility type paired with a maybeCall() function to unwrap every argument.
That's probably best most of the time. In my use-case, I have a function that accepts Signal arguments, and returns a Signal. This function is used in many places, and _sometimes_ the args are values that will change but often are constants. Allowing a literal without having to wrap is convenient.

I used Dvorak/Colemak on my phone for a long time but ultimately I found their optimizations to be a net negative for an autocorrected touch keyboard, where broader spatial distributed in touches results in less ambiguity. Still fantastic on the physical keyboard.
