During those long days, she particularly bonded with one uncle, a carpenter who taught her the basics of repairing damaged fixtures and woodwork. Something about that process, the notion of taking something broken, then making it whole again, clicked for Maples.

Colbi Maples snubbed the transfer portal that swallowed most of her 2024-25 Cleveland State teammates, then helped flip the Vikings back into a contender just in time for the HL tournament. Kyle Rossi has the story.

Cleveland State takes down IU Indy, 101-93. Jaidon Lipscomb, Preist Ryan and Ice Emery each had 23 for the Vikings.

Jaxon Edwards, Kyler D'Augustino and Maguire Mitchell also had 23, leading the Jaguars, which finished at 7-25. #HLMBB
