The first time I heard of Fetterman was like a decade ago, I was hanging out with a friend of mine who’s an activist at a bar and I read some story about him and my friend said “fuck that dude he sucks” and told me at length that everyone who worked with him in Braddock hated him

I mean there’s some precedent, his time in the state legislature. He’s not a complete unknown quantity.
People act like Fetterman turning out to be awful was a great shock but dude chased a black man around with a shotgun before he became a senator

There’s also the part where who fucking knows what he’ll actually do in office.

The talking point that I have heard in his ads most frequently, much more than anything about his faith, is explicitly stating that the ultra wealthy are gutting the country for parts and need to be actively combatted and I wouldn’t call that centrist

What interests me here isn’t which one of them was more one or the other, but that
1. both camps seem to want an anti-establishment, more left leaning candidate who opposes Israel.
2. Seemingly competing definitions of what constitutes as moderate and what constitutes as left.

i have no interest in starting an argument about whose credentials are what but I read a lot of posts around the Texas midterm and anecdotally for both Crockett and Talarico, the sentiments I saw for supporters of both candidates was the other is the establishment pick, more moderate, and pro-Israel

I just saw a story suggesting that the word is Trump will endorse Cornyn over Paxton. Really curious if Paxton would follow the instructions from Trump’s missive about his pending endorsement in the primary run off, since if he’s out of the race he’s for sure out of a job next year lol
