Gotta admit, cool seeing Storybook enter the chat.
AI and the web. @aiwithmichelle.com and I did a video for @jetbrains.com ... what happens when the humans leave the web? Based on the talk/ideas of @maggieappleton.com

Thanks for sharing the posts on your experience. In case you missed it, AI Chat now lets you use Claude Agent, as another choice.

Thanks to @cultrepo.bsky.social for this interview!
I'm a Python guy, I wonder what they'd say about THAT code. π I'm with JetBrains, is there something missing from Junie that makes you do the first step, beyond "remembers"?
Just out of curiosity, what level of plan do you have for Codex and do you ever get close to running out?
Great to hear! Anything you've hit that didn't go well?
I think we still have a chance, once NES gets out of preview, to do some things that are new and useful. I think I'm on the hook for that video. π How much is next-edit part of your value proposition?
Thanks for sharing that, and I feel similarly about Sonnet 4.
I'm with JetBrains, thus I'm biased, but I'm also not an AI Maximalist. So what you wrote resonated with me. I'm finding a good flow for what I want to do with Junie, do myself, or a combination. I'm also learning to keep the guidelines file open, to write down my way of doing things.
You're right to feel frustration. All of us in this field are struggling with this, but we hope to be the ones that figure it out, especially for the folks that have been with us.
I think Junie's great, but we need to land on the right setup.
My colleague @brendt.bsky.social (talented developer, lovely person) has written a wonderful little book about what he's learned along the way as a programmer. things-i-wish-i-knew.com
Canβt wait to listen to this one.

I admit, tomorrow's launch of the Python documentary feels like a special marker in time. Python is Guido's, but also ours, all of us, and @cultrepo@bird.makeup has captured that.
Come watch the premiere and join us in the chat.
Sorry to hear that, let me see if I can get it sorted. What went wrong?
The 2025 State of Python survey is now out!
This is the 8th annual collaboration between @python.org and @pycharm.dev on current trends in Python.
@mkennedy.codes wrote up a great summary of the results and key trends.

One of our favorite parts of #EuroPython2025 was listening to your feedback and hearing how you use PyCharm in real-world projects.
We loved engaging with the #Python community, chatting with developers, and showcasing the AI Toolkit.
π₯ Here's our recap of the inspiring week.
π The State of Python 2025 is here!

This was super-fun to watch take shape. Kudos to all involved. We're on a learning path about new ideas for advocacy and this was a big step forward. It's really cool seeing all 3 of you in the same place, interacting.
I'm of the generation that corrects typos in text messages.
Thanks for the kind words. Those are fun stories to tell.
Here is the new "The Ultimate Guide to IntelliJ IDEs" workshop I'm working on dmitrykandalov.com/intellij-wor.... It summarises what I have learned over 20+ years of using IntelliJ IDEs. Let me know if you would like to run it at your company!
Our open source Mellum model has a really unique and useful story as a βfocal model.β The chat with Hugging Face should be quite an interesting dive into the idea.
πβ¨β―EuroPython just ended.
In many hallway chats and community organisers open space, one issue came up again and again: Sponsorship.
Now that AI is taking the spotlight, Iβm asking: Who's left behind?
