the anti-malware industry does nothing other than erode consumer trust by flagging open source projects with verifiable builds as "malware" with their ML heuristics
really shouldn't be a game of programming in some lucky hard-to-figure-out way to have people not get big red warnings using anything
thats a question i don't know the answer to, to be fair -- the program only runs on windows so most people are going to have windows defender, followed by most popular antivirus solutions. MS is currently not even flagging it as heuristic, straight up adware at this point :(
also i have manually submitted this to ms for review and been completely ignored. the only solution is buying a code signing cert and having it signed which is me being extorted, cba
you know whats great? this has been run on tens of thousands of machines with no reports -- well, except one fully automated ai powered "security scanner" that crawls virustotal and runs heuristics with an autogenerated report :D
oh, and of course, the number of false positives increased over time corresponding with the usage of AI models to detect malware!! waiter? yes, ill have another million vibe coded shitware antivirus vendors to scan my work please.
i am such a huge fan of how lazy anti-virus vendors are and how my *open source dotnet* projects can still be getting 39/72 detections on virustotal despite being verifiably clean.

In front of the game UI there are two Wireshark windows, showing the LanSearch broadcast packet from a MAC address belonging to Microsoft and then a GameSessionInfo response from the same MAC address.
Emulator Inaccuracy: the Xbox One's Xbox 360 backwards compatibility will loopback its own broadcast packets to itself where a real 360 won't. this manifests as Portal 2's System Link menu showing yourself as a joinable game and basically nothing else
