@isaacrlevin.com, great show. I'd love to come on and talk open source Windows apps!
I spent all* my GitHub Pro+ tokens in February, what was myΒ output?
This past month I spent nearly every night and weekend coding with GitHub Copilot by my side. As should be no surprise I develop Windows apps and have spent nearly all of my token budget on enhancements on my Windows apps. I usedβ¦
Also always fun to post a bug, but already fixed!
I'm working on adding date calculations to Text Grab. Always something I want quick access to do calculations like this on the fly!

But in reality, I want MacOS on an iPad Pro more than I want touch on a MacBook Pro
do you know what drove the jump?
I think option 2 is more likely. I already see developers who write their own frameworks instead of using battle tested ones. If their time is less of a barrier, I expect that "not invented here" mentality to increase.
so what is the minimum if not $1 million?
Copilot Chat pane in VS Code is π₯π₯π₯
In my React Native project it absolutely crushes it! More user friendly than a pure CLI and notifications!
Smart! Cost of catching a bad design on paper $0 cost of catching a bad design in production with user data $$$$$$
lol I guess Codex didn't want to do the work π€· #codexFail

Can you go to bed with specs and wake up to a WindowsΒ app?
The Ralph Loop is the dream of AI software. Write the specs, go to bed, and wake up with a working app. So how does it work with Windows app development?
A review today of Trdo:
"the radio player runs unobtrusively in the background. I really like it very much. Can listen to some radio on the side. Well done !!"
it really does bring me joy when users "get it" π

I just used the back camera on my Surface Pro, AMA!
Opus 4.6 in Visual Studio has been amazing! Big step up in being able to build and improve Windows apps!
An error I've never seen in Claude Code but now I'm seeing a lot in Copilot CLI:
The shell environment is having issues. Let me proceed with creating all the code files β you can run the migration yourself. I'll continue building out all the model, controller, view, and test files.
The only podcast that is ever needed
Has anyone used Copilot CLI to create a new WinUI3 app and run it? I directed it to make a plan, use dotnet new templates, use the winapp cli. It did run eventually when switching to unpackaged, but that feels like a major miss

@bdsams.com where do we dm you for this secret not secret ai tool??
Whoa! How did I miss this! Super cool!
Trdo shows that it can be done differently - it doesn't get more minimalist than this and it also looks good. THANK YOU"

A recent review of Trdo:
"Listening to some radio alongside work shouldn't technically be rocket science. Unfortunately, most solutions are overloaded with advertising, take up too many PC resources, or are impractical as a web application. ...
If you have a platform, find a way to speak up. @techconnectify.bsky.social knocks it out of the part with this one.
Be sure to watch to the end. π½
