An atmospheric shot of the beautiful Koninklijk Circus / Cirque Royal in Brussels, with a blue-lit dome while the crowd pours in.
What a delight to see @daraobriain.bsky.social kick off (?) the continental leg of his tour in Brussels tonight. (I had no idea there were so many Irishfolk around Brussels!) Go see him if you can!
I changed WILSON Cloud Respwnder to work with @caddy.bsky.social to automate certificate management - worth the update if you're using it!

Safety is important, but in my experience, once I got used to places that are extremely safe despite having no streetlights (e.g. Sark and certain Danish "sommerhusbyer") I stopped equating safety with streetlights - and started enjoying natural darkness β¨ 1/3

One really cynical consequence of βAI everywhereβ is that I literally canβt read any text over a paragraph long without a strong suspicion that it has been written by ChatGPT, causing me to lose interests and disengaging halfway through paragraph two.
Stock photo of the AKAI LPK 25, a mini USB input device with 25 keys, looking all bubbly and cute.
Got myself this sweet new toy yesterday, and spent all evening pretending to groove from the comfort of my couch. Fun stuff!
Wait arenβt you in the northern hemisphere? These arenβt times for surfing. π₯Ά
I notice you can select and copy a lot of the blacked out text that is apparently just an overlay. Selecting and pressing βtranslateβ is a quick way to read it too.
Some of the βinvisibleβ text is even searchable directly from www.justice.gov/epstein. (Peter Thiel, Trump, phone numbers etc)

Education people posting on Twitter to pontificate about a teen social media ban should be ignored
Using an app that makes CSAM to say that you care about children shows that you are in no way someone to listen to. Or that you have the ethics necessary to discuss tech harms
Itβs devastating how accurately this portrays current discourse. Nail on the head.
Then again, our school run hasnβt started yet so Iβve no idea how strictly these are followed. I guess Iβm hoping/optimistic that we donβt see these blatant privacy infringements. I should double check the paper work I signed. π
Yeah I think the difference is that the default seems to be schools will never share imagery in public, exceptions (requiring agreement) seemed to be e.g. when a local news station shoots an item at school. The consent form is to OK imagery of child used *within* schools.
We just went enrolled our child in a school, and one of papers to sign was GDPR-related, i.e. their use of photography at school and explaining they need parental agreement when imagery of the child is used publicly. Was the same for daycare. Is this not a thing in the UK?
This hasnβt really done the rounds here on Bsky but seems like it is worth checking out! Feels like a reboot of bugbounty Twitter back when that was fun. With some anonymity/reddit features built in.

In the end, I think one of the strangest things about Stranger Things was that the residents of a small Midwestern town pre-internet would have such hip music tastes.
