Nope, not an April fools joke ๐ I'm quite sure it uses the TrainSplit ticket stuff behind the scenes so it appears to suggest the same tickets with a different UI. The give me ideas/daytripper section seems unique tho - cool idea

Just seen the open return option today. Great work, thanks :)
Poster on a temporary construction wall in Manchester Victoria train station. The poster has information about the "The Great North Rail Project" project and says that Manchester Victoria is being modernised. A web URL on the poster is provided: nationalrail.co.uk/GNRP
These signs at Manchester Victoria about its "modernisation" have been left for so long that the website page linked doesn't even exist anymore
Location is more of a nice-to-have feature as password stuff is absolutely location related for some. Say, at work or school, you may have your work SSO (e.g. Microsoft) password and 2FA. If you prefer for the app not to know location, just turn it off
@trainsplit.com Could we get the ability to more easily book open-returns in the app like we can on the (beta) web version?
I'm hearing new voices for the PIS on a Northern 195 this morning. Sounds much nicer than the previous guy but haven't had a proper listen yet
Quite a few northern trains have been looking a little dirty lately. Something to do with the weather or they've just cut down on washing frequency?
Definitely wrongly denied! Whenever this happens and I appeal, it tends to get accepted. Odd
At first I thought this was some VR experience
Very true! Only reason I go to Twitter now is to look at company's pages for statuses.
Bluesky is fantastic for verification of company accounts too since they can use the domain of their website.
Delayed means that the time isn't known, for example if a train has broken down. While I prefer this over a guess, it's the lack of communication during this that sucks.
Northern normally does say about the delay repay scheme - almost a bit too frequently sometimes. I know Victoria has an automated announcement for it after announcing a delayed train.
Main problem is that passengers think that the form you need to fill in is too complicated for what you get back.
I guess you could always do both? A bit like the Dutch system. They have a card which you can top up or pay online/automatically, but you can also just tap in tap out with a bank card.
Allows you to do Railcard discounts etc while those that want simple, occasional travel can use a bank card.
Every time I've been in Manchester lately Metrolink always seems to have a status message scrolling saying there are delays :(
Often due to a road traffic accident though, which I assume is a car accident?
Seems like there are waves of when people move here - usually when Twitter does something meh. Hoping that Bluesky will take the lead over others as the Twitter replacement :)
