Sometimes it takes another person’s perspective to shake the rust off. I had a VO coaching session earlier today and their direction (and sense of humor) really helped me get out of my head and into the work. Definitely worth it!

How does one get and stay “grounded” in performance?
When starting to say a monologue/what have you, I find myself working from a different, less grounded angle than the one I end in. Maybe it’s specificity? Idk
If nothing else, laying around all day has made me more appreciative of standing up.
Finished your play through a few days ago and loved it! The performances were unexpectedly grounded, which made the events that unfolded all the more jarring (and memorable)!
The hospital has started calling me asking when I’m going to come get my dead cat.
