Very weird - a perfectly semi-circular cut beneath my left upper trap.

A Cheshire Cat bite? A GPS-wielding insect with a continuous bite track?

Mysterious.

I had to look up what "bougie" meant.

I've never used slang, even when buried in the popular context of its creation.

But I've always pretty much known what it meant. Until today.

This feels like a milestone. πŸ˜„

Mark's Minutiae

It's too many words to put here, but I threw out some quick thoughts on the "Iran stuff" and religion in general, and its place in government.

Anthropic’s Pentagon Showdown Is About More Than AI Guardrails The high-stakes conflict between the Defense Department and a $380 billion tech powerhouse goes to the heart of just how far AI can go in warfare.

Good and unsettling insights into the Pentagon's take on AI for war, and commercial/scientific interest.

How Covid Quietly Rewires the Brain Researchers keep discovering more about the long-term neurological effects of SARS-CoV-2.

Fascinating discussion of COVID brain effects, including the brain stem, where autonomic stuff like breathing is controlled.

Well, judging by the explosion noise level outside rivaling the 4th of July and all the bright flashes in the sky, I’d guess the #Seattle Seahawks won the Super Bowl.

Honestly, it IS nice the sense of common community it brings to people across divides; a rarity of fresh altitude lately.

Get your Tdap vaccine (and booster if it’s been a while) and you can stab yourself all day with dirty exacto knives and not have to worry about tetanus!

Why AI Data Centers in Space Aren’t Totally Science Fiction Tech billionaires want to move AI’s massive energy demands off Earth. The engineering hurdles are enormous.

Nothing wrong with orbital artificial intelligence brains with unlimited energy beaming down from millions of satellites floating over our heads.

My favorite is the restful hyena.

I’m guessing about hyena though.

Funny, a customer from ages ago called me at 11pm to get help with a computer problem.

I’ve been trying to get rid of customers for years. He’s my last one left.

It’s still nice though. And terrible. πŸ˜„

24Β°F (-4.4Β°C) outside, when I want 70Β°F (21Β°C) inside, means the boiler makes it 80Β°F (26.7Β°C) in the basement where I work out.

Good for yoga at least. Sorta. And I have 2 humidifiers running full blast too, just to try keeping it in the 30% range. πŸ₯΅

At least it’s a dry heat. πŸ˜„

It may be French, but it’s nice.

Pretty expressive for an instrument incapable of getting louder or softer as you play.

It’s done in the timing.

Tesla loses title as world's biggest electric vehicle maker as sales fall for second year in a row Tesla lost its crown as the world’s bestselling electric vehicle maker on Friday as a customer revolt over Elon Musk’s right-wing politics and stiff overseas competition pushed sales down for a second...

It’s so very sad. Maybe if they made a trillion dollar sacrifice to Elon, he would smile upon them and fix it all. #tesla

When it comes to major religions, the Grand Shapes remain, even with the details accessed and rationalized.

Brahman (the dreamer) beyond all attributes, Ishvara with human attributes, and Shakti, the indwelling presence.

Far more in common than different where it matters most.
