Gas doesn’t need to disappear to lose power — it just needs to lose hours. As batteries shave peaks & cover the evening ramp, they’re pushing gas back into the bottle in Australia, displacing it from marginal price-setting intervals. Once storage owns 4–6hrs, gas loses leverage fast. #Bettrification
Sure, ICE “won” in 1910 because energy density, refuelling speed and infrastructure weren’t even close for batteries. Oil was cheap, abundant and easy to transport. It made sense then.
But technology doesn’t freeze in time. What won in 1910 doesn’t automatically win in 2026.
Exactly — EVs aren’t new. They actually predate mass-market gasoline cars. What changed wasn’t the motor, it was energy density. Early batteries couldn’t compete with liquid fuel. Now they can — and that flips the equation.
Imagine we’re all driving silent electric cars… and some rogue engineer bursts in: ‘Hear me out — what if we power it by detonating flammable liquid thousands of times per minute and carry 60 litres of it under the passengers?’ We’d call it insane. That’s #Bettrification — better tech wins.⚡️🔋🔌

As of 2025, global solar capacity is ~2.5 TW. Just 10 years ago it was ~300 GW — and only ~1 TW in 2022. By 2026, we’re on track for 3.5 TW. No other energy technology in history has scaled this fast. This is the fastest shift to a new form of generation ever. #Bettrification #Disruption #Solar
