books are in production for like 3 months after being sent to print. Like stuff I did work on last year are still in production. Books take a long time and a lot of people work on them. I can have my entire work day spent applying micro edits from editorial on one book.

One issue with constant Ai fears is sometimes people who get paid to draw stuff. Are bad at drawing stuff like horses. I started pitching in on redraw on other titles last year because people accused us of Ai use when the fact was the artist was not great at drawing things that weren't hot men.
