it's confusing to me because i see a lot on my feed about both npmx and tangled and it feels weird that npmx is on github despite seeming pretty enmeshed in atproto. mostly curious what i'm missing there

most of the people i frequently dm are either dead set on discord or i already talk to them on xmpp or signal
as someone who was all over Discord alternatives for many years (my stoat account is from 2022!) i just feel apathetic now. i don't care enough to move my community anymore. i'll join a server on whatever if i have to but i don't think discord age assurance is what'll tip any big scales
