Yeah it's annoying and large. I'll ask around to see when it'll (if ever) be available as a global package we can reference.
Can you explain further? You mean using DataViews versus not using it at all? Or just the fact that you still have to import the entire DataViews package and the dependency extractor can't just let you reference some global version of it loaded by WP?

Thanks to the help of many smarter devs at Woo, our "create-woo-extension" tool is finally working again.
There's still a bunch of scaffolding work to do, but getting the dependencies updated and the install & build running was a huge milestone here.
