FYP over there is absolutely completely tuned to Alex Jones and Joe Rogan.

Every accusation is an admission. Elon claimed it was all tuned liberal and then turned it into a Nazi park. Algorithm mysteriously still not open. Bots never removed.

twitter is dogshit for anything that isn't an ivermectin scam, CSAM, and apocalypse accelerator porn.

Every social media that starts with a T is now just boomer trash. Twitter, TikTok, Truth - all the same site.

Dems:
πŸ‘΄πŸ»Y'all are overreacting. They don't really want to bring about the apocalypse. This isn't Army of the 12 Monkeys. Calm down.

Also Dems:
πŸ‘΄πŸ»They're serious?! They really want to accelerate the armageddon?

Still Dems:
πŸ‘΄πŸ»Let US elect Talarico, because the MAGA christofascists are so fond of him!🀑

Bluesky is the #1 place to find believers in a software utopia where every developer knew every byte of code procured through bespoke organic craft ...

Reality is we have some PHP from 2003 and no one knows how it works after the fourth outsource firm. They promoted Bob's kid who knows Photoshop.

Haven't done it, but realistically that would run on a tablet or phone. Wouldn't be fun, but you could go from phone camera to parsed structured doc probably in a few minutes. Probably.

Edge wasn't required by the customer, but in that instance you can take a hint from ex: docling.

Models like old granite4 (I have a love/hate with this thing) are enough to power docling and langextract on CPU only. If I had to do that again I'd start with Gemma3n instead.

There was a huge hubbub over TPM 2.0 and that's on every modern mainboard. NPU for copilot is going to cause blind rage.

In the middle of tariffs and component shortage we are now going to require an NPU and be AI focused for....? Reasons?

That announcement was so weird. There wasn't a single net positive thing. Subscription? Modules? NPU requirement? "AI focus"?

Like what there is net good for consumers? Crazy stuff.

langextract supports both OpenAI and Ollama out of the box, meaning you can send your local documents locally to local inference.
One document processing job in production now used langextract in a container on openshift. Nothing left the cluster.

Skills dot md itself is a useless abstraction in this workflow because you could just jam that into the system prompt :P

It's patterns, and also proof that this has been in use for quite some time (for the naysayers) with observability and tracing.

What do 6 months old models have to do with langextract?

Like docling, you can swap out any LLM you want. The workflow here isn't to make workarounds (at least not any more than you would need with skills dot md). This is a repeatable, traceable pipeline. Skills dot md can break in 6 months.

langextract LangExtract: A library for extracting structured data from language models

You could just use langextract
Or refer people saying LLMs can't do this to something widely used to do this for quite some time

This is again where Meta and the current tech landscape is just embarrassing.

Want glasses but without Meta distributing your nudes to Palantir and annotators in other countries? You have options - Xreal 1s don't even have a camera by default.

No reporting on alternatives. All Meta coverage.

I eyerolled when they said they partnered with rayban

Now every pair of those are sus. At least the xreals look like cartoon glasses I guess

02.03.2026 04:11 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

I bought a pair of xreal AR glasses strictly because they have *no camera* but I still wanted to play handheld games without slouching...

But then I realized Meta has ruined everything and no one is going to know I don't have a camera.

If I get punched wearing these, I understand you. I get it.

Unfortunately the US is on the way to the same problems it had with online learning previously - each course/courseware will be isolated and most likely full of weird isms (like no cut and paste or screenshot from the proprietary crap bundled with the book)

01.03.2026 19:04 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Context is the fundamental gain of AI learning, the mentioned "This is X, you previously asked about Y, X is like Y in this way"

The entire curriculum for every course in a semester could be loaded into an LLM context to make those connections along with "on the fly" acronym expansion, etc

And anything you can do from the command line you can now do from an agent skill :)

Oh I see. You're one of the people who has built a personality around trying to be edgy about corporations while you're signed up to a cell phone plan, data service, a boxed PC, and on a service without your own host

Everyone else is the problem. This government won't be after individuals next, ya?
