We conducted a national survey to understand the state of climate services for Tribes and how well they support Tribal adaptation efforts.

In short: Tribes are deeply engaged in adaptation, yet relatively poorly served by available climate services.

Our findings may be used by a wide range of climate service providers to better support Tribes in their resilience efforts, particularly by engaging with Tribes to co-develop climate services tailored to Tribal needs.

Survey respondents highlighted:
🔍Climate services as being generally inaccessible and a poor fit to their needs.
🔎Need for data tailored to Tribal priorities and a centralized location for improved access.
🔍Need for additional funding and staff capacity to carry out adaptation activities.

Trump Killed a Major Report on Nature. They’re Trying to Publish It Anyway. The first full draft of the assessment, on the state of America’s land, water and wildlife, was weeks from completion. The project leader called the study “too important to die.”

The Trump administration halted a study assessing U.S. lands, water, and wildlife. Scientists are now working to publish it independently. @chrfield.bsky.social says it's vital for shaping conversations -- from family dinner tables to Congress.
