I took a lot of the idea and turned it into a pitch for Oswald. The history of Disney Animation would’ve been on a train track timeline, and Oswald would’ve conducted his train to have different adventures throughout the Disney timeline.

It might’ve been too high concept.

Anyway, it’s funny because when I was pitching stuff to Disney Animation, I started talking about Roger Rabbit and was basically immediately shushed as if I let the filthiest thing come out of my mouth. I wanted the show to be a statement on how much animation had changed over the years.
