At least two people have been arrested in Queensland for saying "from the river to the sea" today at a protest. I think we all knew this day was coming. A dark milestone in our homegrown authoritarian decline.

New headshot and bio as part of the announcement that I am taking part in La Mama's IMMERSE program in 2026. A group of 8 mid-career writers will get together every week for 12 weeks to support each other in creating a new work of theatre. I'm excited to be involved!

I figured, if I was going to spend my life dedicated to fiction, it might be better if it was theatre.

If an official commits an impeachable offense and nobody acts to impeach, it is no longer an impeachable offense.

People who oppose impeachment as β€œpointless” because it seems unlikely to result in removal do not understand this very simple point and seem unwilling to even try to understand it.

Clock time is fake. Money is fake. Latitude and longitude don't really exist. All words have been made up.

What exactly is your point here?

Turns my stomach to see cities with millennia of history flattened by United States and Israel, two of the fakest countries in the world.

Paramount Eyes Changes to Historic Studio Lot Following Warner Bros. Merger The lot has hosted productions for films such as 'The Godfather,' 'Titanic' and the 'Mission: Impossible' franchise.

There’s really only one way to say this: don’t fuck with historic lots. Have we not learned from the MGM debacle?

I get yelled at for saying this but for many hundreds of years people went to university not to get diplomas or be employable but because immersion in the humanities was considered foundational to a good life, and school must return to its original purpose: the joy of learning.

After what Trump has done in the past 12 months, there is zero reason for any nation to ever agree to another deal with the USA.

You would have to be Australian Govt level of stupid to do so.

REVIEW: Year of the Rooster by Olivia Dufault – Spinning Plates/Fortyfive Downstairs Gil Pepper works at McDonald’s, lives with his abusive mother and is looked down upon by his co-worker, Phillipa, and one particularly odiou...

YEAR OF THE ROOSTER is ostensibly a Greek Tragedy, but this satire on consumerist America and toxic masculinity feels more like a story of deserved comeuppance. It's silly but the production is a knock-out. www.keithgow.com/2026/03/revi...

The things about Star Trek is that itβ€˜s always had such a range of storytelling even within each different show that people now remember only the ones they liked best and forgot about the others (or deride them as β€žfillerβ€œ) and decided these ones are the actual β€žStar Trekβ€œ.

"often attributed" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here, since he never said it.

She should have gone with "my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives" from A Few Good Men.
