The planned Hopkins bike lanes are threatened once again What: Peaceful demonstration at the intersection of Hopkins and Monterey to show the City of Berkeley and the City Council that they need to finish what they started and build protected bike lanes on Hopkins when the street is repaved. When: Thursday March 12, 2026, 4:15pm-5:15pm. Gather at 4:15pm at King School Park on Hopkins. Demonstration to be followed by a bike ride to City Hall.

I was mad but not surprised when Sophie Hahn used her power to keep bike lanes from being installed on my high-injury street but for this to be coming from Rashi feels like a betrayal.
