Lewis Carroll, polishing a camera lens.

On occasion of the Snark's 150th anniversary – see @snark150.bsky.social – I intend to revive the legacy card game SNARK! on virtual desktops. The creators of the game like the idea. ※ Admin: @goetzkluge.bsky.social ※ Web: https://snrk.de/zzota-snark/
Lewis Carroll, polishing a camera lens.
Perhaps interesting to coin makers: Henry Holiday's depiction of the Baker's Uncle in Lewis Carroll's "The Hunting of the Snark" has no copyright protection.

Already the posted quote (“I can’t go…”) is wrong. WARNING: Better check Carroll quotes with @quoteinvestigator.com before you get them tattooed on your skin.

«The Cat only grinned when it saw Alice. It looked good-natured, she thought: still it had very long claws and a great many teeth, so she felt that it ought to be treated with respect. ‘Cheshire Puss,’ she began, rather timidly, as she did not at all know whether it would like the name: however, it only grinned a little wider. ‘Come, it’s pleased so far,’ thought Alice, and she went on. ‘Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?’ ‘That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,’ said the Cat. ‘I don’t much care where—’ said Alice. ‘Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,’ said the Cat. ‘—so long as I get somewhere,’ Alice added as an explanation. ‘Oh, you’re sure to do that,’ said the Cat, ‘if you only walk long enough.’» http://snrk.de/Gutenberg/Alices_Adventures_in_Wonderland.htm#CheshireCat

On occasion of the 150th anniversary of "The Hunting of the Snark" I want to virtualize (with the maker's consent) the card game SNARK!, but I am not a game designer. I decided to use PlayingCards.io to generate the cards (snrk.de/the-snark-ru...). Would that task be easier with VirtualTabletop.io?
From your post I learned about Affinity. Are there any caveats? So far I planned to use GIMP for my SNARK! project.
(I am neither a gamer nor a game developper. But SNARK! could be a means to make "The Hunting of the Snark" more popular. In 2026, Carroll's tragicomedy has its 150th anniversary.)

Even though an “invalid handle” is indicated, the handle @ezgra.net works well. Seems to be a BlueSky issue.

Ja, aber auf dem PC.
I think it‘s from a movie, not by Lewis Carroll.
Nice quote from the screen writer (Linda Woolverton?) of an Alice movie (2010?). I don‘t think that you‘ll find it in any of Lewis Carroll‘s original writings.

The Godot Emgine is too much for my first baby steps into game virtualization. I‘ll perhaps start with playingcards.io.
