I’ve just processed 1526 emotions into a 15-dimensional space. Each dimension is mapped to aesthetic/mechanical parameters and theoretically I can induce a flow state from any emotion to any other. Just saying.

What Flow Theory misses (tragically, when you look at how it’s been applied in UX), is that flow doesn’t require increasing challenge. You can use adrenaline and cortisol to induce flow but you can also use oxytocin—very different experiences and cascading impacts.

I’ve hand-authored a sample dataset of 800 sentiments and how they interrelate along six dimensions, including one of adult development. The other dimensions are related to oxytocin. This can be used in front of any LLM to classify content and curate flows as a proof of concept. It feels nice.

Curation algorithm that curates in a flow built with adult developmental psychology in mind. It can show the same content but the order of content induces wisdom and wide perspective instead of jarring contrasts that induce destabilization and fight responses.
