Am I surprised that a man who was able to thrive at a company where women weren't allowed in the same room as the boss, because he'd grope them, appears to have no ethical backbone? Not even a little.

Hi. Views are mine and not those of anybody else. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental. Any mockery of real persons, living or dead, is intentional. CTO of Antifa More fun on Masto. https://www.rootwyrm.com/

As an Ohioan:
Trust me. It does not stop at JD Vance. It barely even *starts* there.
“Once you’ve been to Ohio, you’ll never stop wanting to beat JD Vance to death with your bare hands.”—Anthony Bourdain, in a better world.
Reporter: Did the US bomb an elementary school and kill 175 people? Trump: Based on what I’ve seen, it was done by Iran. Reporter: Is that true Mr. Hegseth? Hegseth: We’re investigating. Trump: It was done by Iran. They are very inaccurate with their munitions.
this is unspeakable

Kuwait just announced they're shutting down oil wells and cutting production.
This is a FANTASTICALLY difficult thing to do, insanely expensive, and it takes a lot of time to shut them down much less restart them.
I think we need people to start listening to new experts that said this many years ago
Shutting an oil well isn’t like turning off a faucet.
It’s a huge engineering risk, difficult to reverse — and an indicator the Kuwaitis don’t see choke points improving anytime soon.
Called my reps about KOSA again. It passed committee and is going to the house for a vote, farthest it's gotten since 2024. Please do the same to kill this thing again.
Bad dragon outbidding cult of the lamb for the Jim Carrey birthing rhino was not on my 2026 bingo card, but boy am I glad it happened.
It's all about the bullshit of 'personal responsibility.' Framing absolutely EVERYTHING as though it's your fault you're poor, climate change is accelerating, insurers are pulling out of high risk markets, etc. It's your fault and definitely not the billionaires and oligarchs and Nazis.
Every “set a budget” or “here’s where you can cut back” article is tone-deaf bullshit. Most people I know are just getting by. I have cut back everywhere possible. I’m switching phone plans weds to cut that bill. We eat out twice a month. I drive as little as possible. There’s nothing left to cut
im not mad. please dont put in the timeline that i got mad.

there's so much bad in the world but there's also people who lift up and carry an elderly bat around every day so he can pretend he's flying again, and that's the part of the world I think is worth fighting for
I dunno, if I were Jeffrey Goldberg, author of "How Did I Get Iraq Wrong?' (2008), I might pause for a moment before cheerleading another war in the same region.
A skeet that reads Stephan Geering @stephangeering.bsky.social Challenge for those who are very confident that Claude isn't conscious: Explain how human consciousness works. March 6, 2026 at 5:25 PM & Everybody can reply
Human consciousness is seeing someone this dumb and choosing to screenshot and block instead of engaging directly with an AI peddler
Me just about any time people who have never even talked with someone from the region open their mouth about it.
A painting of a bird beside the text "are you trying to give me a fucking aneurysm?"
Wait till he finds out that Iran is actually NOT a homogeneous population of uneducated, desperately poor, starving people completely incapable of any form self-determination!
Twitter user eoghan: How dare poor people get free medical advice <quote tweet from Twitter user Polymarket: BREAKING: New York bill would ban AI from answering questions related to medicine, law, dentistry, nursing, psychology, social work, engineering, & more.> Twitter user YBrogard79094: JUST MAKE HEALTHCARE ACCESSIBLE Twitter user eoghan: AI is literally free healthcare. Being a communist must be exhausting
And then you see them act completely fucking bewildered when after they show you their chatbot that will make plumbers obsolete by showing it a photo of your pipes, you go "you understand a plumber will still have to get in there and fix the pipes, right?"
i am increasingly sure this is the entire reason you see formerly competent coders this month insist Claude Code is now a genius. Anthropic's way turned up the sycophancy and attention hooks. They are then convinced this is the same as it churning out non-shitty code.
I'm convinced at this point that a significant percentage of the population is incapable of any form of object permanence. So, yes.
Get that electric rat the fuck outta my store
Why do they call it TwitchCon and not the Simp-osium?
Paul Frazee @pfrazee.com I do want to make sure we're being clear about this: The Bluesky team maintains the same review, red-teaming, and QA processes that we always have. AI coding tools have been proving useful, but haven't changed the fundamental practices of good engineering. Human review and direction remain key.
