Is a Christian second significantly longer than a secular second?
That's definitely interesting.
I've certainly been looking for backing track solutions, loop stations, midi controllers etc, because as fun as the DD-2 is, the 800ms loop isn't really long enough... π€
Need to add some kind of a recording facility to my current setup, which is my old crappy SG, into a silly little pedalboard setup, into a teeny tiny orange amp. FUNctional.
That said, I really dig the song. Listened once on my phone speakers, once on headphones.
Being "done" is tough.
I have 3 or 4 songs that have been evolving for 20ish years and really only live in my head. If I record them then I might ruin them, or be unhappy with where they "end".
Agreed. I've always found Battles to be pretty good at this.
Titanium 2 Step. The Yabba. Ice cream. Cacio e Pepe.
I think the formula is equal parts:
- what were we eating at the time?
- if there were a dance to this song, what would it be called?
- random / inside baseball
Yeah, cool, so a short 𧡠about Halifax's finances.
Right now, after 14 or so year of taxes Halifax is at the precipice of a debt crisis which has the genuine potential to be destabilizing to our government. Most likely reforms instead of revolution but destabilizing none the less.
Why now?

"During the same meeting, Fillmore wanted to clear the record that he is not a climate change denier."
Okay, so you understand that climate change is real and serious and want to cut climate change mitigation funding anyways?
The light is coming back.
12/21/2025 had 8:48:35 of light.
Today has 11:04:17 of light.
We gained 2:15:42 of light.
We are less than an hour away from a half a day of daylight.
Spring arrives in 22 days.
The sad part is that the roadways also, in many places, retain enough heat to help melt some of this. Particularly on the above zero days. If only we were brazen enough to occasionally push some of it *into* the road...
In grade six I wrote a report on a person I admired: Jimi Hendrix.
I was a young, aspiring left-handed guitarist that loved how Crosstown Traffic danced across his headphones, and how the bright, clarion riffs of The Wind Cries Mary washed over his ears...
A great read:
Nova Scotiaβs resilience is buried under snow at the end of the driveway.

'94 and '95, respectively.
That doesn't rule out influence in the least, but in my mind these bands are decidedly from two different eras, neither of which are 30 years ago π

Listening to Soundgarden's Fell on Black Days. Since my brain is mostly just a pattern recognition machine now, I start to think about how the vibe and chord progression remind me of Silverchair's Suicidal Dream, and how the former must've greatly influenced the latter.

It's even better--read: worse--if you pronounce it with a long U like is used in United Nations... myoonga!

When I was first figuring out how to use manual controls on a camera some 20 years ago, this tool would've been incredibly valuable.
Arguably, it makes the relationship among aperture, shutter speed, and ISO / film speed, easier to understand than even looking through the viewfinder.
Good morning. Have you had your Sunday coffee & carb fix yet?
