I'm really excited about SQ Gold and restarting the local-scale SQs generally. Beyond that, it's pretty damn cool that there are so many opportunities to play anime games in NC.

Wearing SQ merch in the wild is very funny because sometimes someone will innocently ask "what's SQ?" and I suddenly find myself explaining the entire concept of fighting games and what makes the FGC so special.
Interesting changes for TΕkon that feel very in-line with the general complaints I heard and felt myself from the betas. I do wonder about the wall break changes in particular, but for everything else I am pretty happy with the direction they're going.

Performance on the PS5 was also shockingly hit or miss. I don't know if I have ever experienced a game that constantly struggled with unpausing before.
Played through Control this weekend on a whim. Really dug the first three hours or so, but I was pretty over it through the last third or so. Felt like a world that had really interesting questions and then gave underwhelming answers.

I had come away from Frosty pleasantly surprised that the game had found its footing with a solid competitive community, feels like Riot just killed the game because a very technical tag game didn't catch on with casuals
Today is a good day to reflect on your community & the shared knowledge that has been curated within it. It is more valuable than a single platform, location, point in time and level of official support. Figure out what you need to do to treat it that way.
I'm really sad to hear about the layoffs at Riot. Extremely disappointing to cut the legs out from under the 2XKO team after a successful first major at Frosty, and I hope everyone lands on their feet.
Just got back a positive Flu-A test, so if you're feeling sick after Frosty you might want to take a test! I feel so stupid, this is the first year I've missed a flu shot since high school (the last time I got the flu) and I am paying for it.
