See ya next year Las Vegas and #reinvent.
Watching #awsdeepracer at #awsreinvent is bringing back fond memories of watching my students crush it in #pinecrest robotics class.

Standing in the taxi line at the airport doesnβt countβ¦
Iβm making you a t-shirt with that.
I wouldnβt do less of that to do more coding. Iβd be willing to bet it makes you a better coder when you switch between the two spaces.
Headed to #reinvent tomorrow morning super early. Canβt sleep.
Honestly this just sounds like a lovely thing to do.
Check the latest episode of @teachingpython.fm - Whats not to love? Girls who code; Microsoft Cloud advocates, Python and the amazing @seantibor.com and Renee Noble!
Happy thanksgiving everyone!
Iβve been told itβs a non-trivial amount of time where you can do whatever you desire without guilt or consequences. Seems magical.
Fair. But even some bad gaming is better than no gaming at all. Just like pizza.
One day Iβll have free time again and will return to Baldurβs Gate 3.
Both Chris Williams have beards. How do we know which one is Evil Chris Williams?
Writing documentation in Markdown feels enough like coding that I can hack my brain into liking it.
Especially admonitions in #mkdocs-material. Those are fun.

Youβre going to love my co-host @kellypared.bsky.social too. Sheβs awesome. π
Now Iβm trying to figure out how to make a #rich Layout and Live display work with logging using the RichHandler and progress bars. This is fun. π
NO! #squarecorners forever! π
Episode 139 is long overdue but it's now live! Join @kellypared.bsky.social and @seantibor.com as they catch up with previous guest Brianne Caplan from Code Your Dreams. After 5 years, it's amazing to see how much progress has been in Chicago's communities.

Next, I want to implement a Live display in a separate screen region that shows how many pipelines succeeded, failed, or are pending. Not entirely sure why TUIs are more satisfying than GUIs to build, but here we are. π€·ββοΈ
Over the past few weeks, I've been using more and more of the rich library for utilities at work. Like asynchronously kicking off hundreds of #aws #codepipeline runs for AFT customizations.
rich kicks ass for running multiple progress bars onscreen at the same time. And it's easy to start.
Sounds like you need to download Escape from LA for the flight home. It's... not great. But at least you won't have to think hard while watching it...
I like asking candidates about a project they loved working on. It doesn't have to be for pay - it can be their model train layout or cross-stitching. I'm listening for their ability to explain, problem-solve, and demonstrate learning. And they seem instantly more comfortable and confident.
I saw him give a talk a few years ago about his career and life. He was just amazing.
This is really nice. I've been making the effort to use #pathlib everywhere so I build the habit. Will be sharing this article with my team as useful learning!
π (plus we just set up @teachingpython.fm too!)
One of the things I've been failing at lately has been processing and publishing new episodes of @teachingpython.fm. The episodes are recorded, and the amazing @kellypared.bsky.social has been super patient. But the failure is with me.
No more. Tonight we publish Episode 139!!! ππππ
(stay tuned)
