Experimenting with Claude Code and some FIT files to try and map out some of my workout data. Pretty neat what a couple of fairly well crafted prompts can churn out
Today, my research group @ Georgia Tech released a paper on vulnerabilities in Tile --- the second largest device finding network after Apple's AirTags.
You can read about it in Wired, reporting by @kimzetter.bsky.social!

Very neat Mark! I've been thinking about (too long) for doing something similar. Nice to see something to give me some inspiration
Done a few cosmetic tweaks and subsequently added:
* Cost analysis (*Rough and ready based on UK used markets)
** Includes battery replacement costs
Currently just supports iPhone & Apple Watch, as they're two devices I own and the battery health is simple and easy to find
Ever wanted a quick way to check your Apple device battery health against the release specs? #AppleEvent
batteryscope.netlify.app
Threw this together quickly, with a bit of AI assisted development π
Another decent #AppleEvent. Although still can't believe AirPods Max are 5 years old now, with no real new release. Sorry but USB-C and new colours doesn't count π
Teach a robot to fish and soon you won't remember how to.
Sights of summer trickling in. Another scorcher of a day ahead in April, hoping this means weβve got a packed summer of this weather!
This is a picture from last nights ride in the glorious West Yorkshire hills π
Morning Bluesky.
China has just raised tariffs on US goods to 125%, matching the US tariff inc.

Men are facing a loneliness epidemic. So why do Dems want to stop group chats where guys bond over shared military interests?

No itβs super slick, mobile app that you just buy credits and book 60 minutes or more π
It varies in price, and certainly a premium service, but an hour cost me Β£20 last night between 10 and 11.
Fully stocked with WiFi, Bluetooth speaker, private and secure. Would love to see more of these!
Just finished my first session at Solo60 in Shoreditch. What a cool concept. Essential book a solo gym for a period of time! Really convenient and private π what a great idea!
So much talk about AI coding tools, vibe coding, AI agents
So many complaints of these tools βbreaking downβ above some complexity / context length
So little - basically no - talk about software architecture that makes for code devs can easily maintain/evolve. Or AI tools!
@luca.run Thank you! Straight forward and easy to work with!
Aaaand weβre back in business! Dusted off the old ClusterHAT 2.3 and been tinkering with some Homelabby SOC this evening. Also migrated my PiHole instance to it as a first ditch play!
Itβs also hooked up to a Tapo energy monitoring plug π€. Super cool!
Morning Bluesky.
Welcome to the Age of De-evolution.
Haha!
I opened it up today and was just met with absolute rubbish. Decided enough is enough. Iβm just gonna clean house.
Iβd deactivate it entirely, but then you lose access to the developer portal. Not that itβs particularly exciting, but effort to resign up again
Nevermind, after re-authing with X and clearing some cache, I seem to have been able to request an archive. Will hopefully trial this soon π
Ah dang, I reposted github.com/lucahammer/t... 3 months ago. But it appears the archive option has been kiboshed from X
I seem to remember a few folks had some open tools around to remove all your content from X. I've lost my references to them.
Has anyone got any recommended tools for the job?
