New Post!
Last weekend, I went to visit a closed high school that I noticed while searching around on Google Maps.

Hey! I repost a lot from @theschlock.com. He is amazing friend I have known for a very long time. He has been living and teaching in Japan for over a decade now.
He blogs. Posts about forgotten/abandoned Japanese history up in the mountains.
It is also a treasure trove of resources and photos.
Honestly flights aren't to bad.
But fuck everything else here is stupidly expensive. Food prices are kind of ridiculous.
And well... The ramageddon.
Yeah. Getting out of the US for a bit is needed.
I don't know if that's going to happen in the next 3 years, unless something cool happens...
But I do have a small list of locations to visit in Japan when we escape again.
HA!
I tell tales of the rabbit that jumped us, up on the mountain in Εkunoshima, when we were trying to get back to the hotel in the dark.

The Serow photos are so cute! They seem pretty chill if you caught a few different ones on camera.
Some really good texture work a details here that, while might not seem that interesting, I find fascinating. Like the way the floor is curling up from the elements over time.
Or panels with rust.
Oh.
This man is living my dream.
Owning an abandoned school and fill every room with amazing art. Live near a crazy tree and become infatuated with it.
I have only just learned of this man, and he has to be a top artist for me now.
Life goals?
That looks beautiful and relaxing.
Was just lamenting the other day how there isn't bathhouses in the states. Most hotels we stay at these days dont even have hot tubs to soak in.
Also that price with all that food. Amazing.
Illustrated "head"shot of Splotch, my Piranha Plant character. His bulb is a lightly iridescent dark blue, and he has bright yellow petals draped over a spiked collar around his "neck". In true Piranha Plant fashion his mouth is wide open with sharp teeth on full display, and his thick plush-looking tongue is lazily flopped to the side. It's a golden yellow at the tip, fading to purple and finally a mottled black as it approaches his "throat" and has three thick nubs on either side that are flexing upwards as if to grasp the skull of a Dry Bones that is nestled in the folds of flesh. The inside of the mouth is also purple with similar black mottling and it, the tongue, and the skull are all slathered in a thick gooey purple-tinged slime.
...and sometimes the thing near them is Splotch's buddy/bf/chewtoy Mulch the Dry Bones...or at least his skull. It's fiiiine, it's detachable. I'm sure the body is around somewhere.
This one probably counts as #mawplay; Splotch is having fun at least.

Figured out last night how to duplicate, rename, scale down and sort bones into layers.
Put the scripts all together.
I have to go in and tie things up and add a few other constraints on some bones. But got 2 objects rigged up in about a half an hour.
Feels pretty cool for a thing to work.
I did a code!
Working on a large project with a bunch of, unusual nonhumanoid, many limb objects. All need custom rigs.
It was about 3 hours to rig the first one.
I started writing some code to parent things, add constraints that I commonly build. Got rigs down to an hour.

Shovelnose sturgeon, with paddlefish
Realized we can just fuck off to the aquarium, and walk around half of it, grab some photos and dip after an hour. Went to go see and pet the Sturgeons!
There is always something sad about these places, and the photos really capture that feeling.
Thank you for sharing so many. < 3
