This feature was primarily built by GitHub Copilot Agent Mode, which is a properly awesome feature π Iβve been giving it a go since I got access to it through work, and Iβve been extremely impressed thus far. It has limits, but its *really* powerful.
A minor new update going live today: editing and deleting thread categories with Settings > Categories! Out now at threaditor.net and coming soon to iOS and Android.
A few days ago I happened to stumble across Dropset, which does literally everything I was going to do with my fitness app, but better! π
Being back on iOS has really opened my eyes to how good apps are over here π the standard is so high and people really are doing incredible stuff.
Behind every great man is a little tennis ball he uses to massage out his back pain.
After several years of strongly and vocally disliking Figma, I am disappointed to report that I kind of understand why people like it.
Unfortunately, I think I also may like it.
More news at 6.
Donβt talk to me, my son, or my sonβs son again.
Itβs actually kind of wild just how much smaller the new Mac mini is than the 2018 model π³
Ordered a coffee, walked to pick it up, realised the Starbucks was closed.
Turns out, the app had redirected me to a different store like 5km away without me noticing π
Apple Developer license renewed, new Mac coming tomorrow. Iβd like to look into building something with SwiftUI shortly π
(8/8) I think thatβs about it for now! Iβll probably keep posting more thoughts over the coming days, this definitely doesnβt encompass everything.
Overall- loved it, hyped for the reboot series.
(7/8) Similarly, there are some writing and plot pieces that I think the series can improve upon given the benefit of hindsight, both from a continuity and writing quality perspective. The pretty weak twists at the end of the first two movies (with very little leading clues) comes to mind.
(6/8) Second - the movies were made before the books were finished, and it shows in some places. Ginny is largely cut from the movies until she becomes a love interest, seemingly because the writers didnβt realise how important sheβd be down the track when writing the first few movies.
(5/8) Firstly, these movies need more time. The final two show how good they can really be if you give them time to sit and explore the themes well, and given the size of the books thatβs just not palatable in cinematic form. A series where each book is a season seems perfect for this.
(4/8) The spells definitely get better as the movies go on, though.
Ok, letβs talk about the upcoming reboot series. I know a lot of people are not happy about this, but I for one am pretty excited. My next few notes will hopefully explain why.
(3/8)β¦ which was definitely good to get rid of by movie 3.
I find the spells a bit funny, but I think thatβs because I didnβt literally grow up with them. βWingardium leviosaβ being the name of the levitation spell is a prime example for me. Itβs just kinda Latin-ified English π€£
(2/8) The cast is stellar, and watching them literally grow up over the course of the movies is awesome.
Movie 3 was incredible, and the time travel twist was just π―chefs kiss. The first two movies suffered from a bit of βitβs me the villain, now that youβre here itβs time to explain my plan!ββ¦
Last night I finished watching the Harry Potter series for the first time (yes Iβm 21 and only just now getting to it, itβs a long story).
Hereβs my review/miscellaneous throughts! Post (1/8)
First up: I loved it. I can see why itβs a classic, there kinda isnβt any bad ones.
Tonight Iβm going to watch the final two Harry Potter movies for the first time. Iβm hyped
Dolby Atmos on Apple Music has also come a really long way since I first tried in in 2021, in no small part because of how many artists are now mastering music for it. Itβs not perfect, but boy itβs hard to go back.
I moved to AirPods 4 with ANC this weekend, and my one observation is that audio technology has come a ππ°π―π¨ way since the AirPods 2 that I had.
These new ones deliver really clear audio, and honestly rival my Sony 1000XM4 headphones. The biggest improvement IMO is the 4s deliver a lot more bass.
if it was then they've become pretty lax about it
(seemingly) unpopular opinion: buses should not be able to depart early. In fact, all public transport should be, at earliest, on time.
The number of times I have missed a bus that Iβve arrived in time for because it has departed like 5-8 minutes early is infuriating. #brisbane

Hans Zimmer tickets sold out in 10 minutes π
Something Iβm really enjoying about my iPhone is the camera button. The touch controls are gimmicky tbh, but the button itself is great.
Something I liked about Android is that double-clicking the lock button brought up the camera, but this came at the expense of an awful google payment auth flow.
First 24 hours on iOS:
- Is so pretty! π€©Everything is very fluid
- It feels good to have a mail app that actually deletes my mail
- Itβs very customisable now
- Holy camera bump Batman!
I have returned to the dark side π
The battery on mine was excellent at first (and still claims to be fine), but the issue I take with these reviews is that they don't account for 1 year later wear and tear.
I had this with my Fold, where the screen just cracked after a year π« everyone knows it, but the reviews didn't catch it.
I'm glad you have good experiences with the 16, I'm thinking about picking up a 16 pro purely for the camera.
How do you find the camera button thingie?
Yeah I've heard anecdotally that Galaxies will last about a year and a half and then just drop off a cliff, and I can definitely attest to that. Bummer because I really don't want to buy a phone every year or two, which I have been since I switched to Android.
