crazy how these minions get ready each day without a single mirror in their houses
I wish every person who practices a religion/faith would sit with this. This is one of the main silencing tactics of victims in religious spaces. They don't speak up because they have been told over and over again the work of the church is good and important. Much more important than their abuse π
we live in the age of the meme war
I don't know, but I've been thinking about this a lot recently. Pretty much all the trending repos on Github are about AI, specifically creating skills and instructions and context databases to make coding agents more useful, and that strikes me as very...idk, concerning.
in that scenario I still have to know what I want to do--I'm not relying on Copilot for decision making. So maybe that doesn't dull my skill in long run?
another use case, that's more in line with the example she gave, is using Copilot to implement as specific capabilites, something that in the past I'd Google which would almost always take me to Stackoverflow and then I'd have to read through responses trying to figure out which one was useful to me
Even when I get Copilot to write tests I still have to go through to make sure the tests it wrote are helpful, but that's different than coming up with the tests my self.
I think her observations here are spot on. Someone recently said that LLMs are good and (maybe) useful for the mundane things. As a programmer I use them to write unit tests because writing them is arduous and boring. But to her point I do wonder if offloading this task will ultimately hurt me.
Was never able to get a patent as far as I know. I still have a bunch of his photography equipment, lenses and filters and what not
My other grandpa worked for years to develop a way to take pictures of a person and a document for drivers license, kind of a split diopter type thing.
He once told me that they used to follow railroad tracks for navigation.
The grandpa who was a pilot was born in 1903 and flew at pretty much the dawn of commercial aviation. He flew a Ford Tri-motor, which was one of the first commercial planes.
A pilot for Northwest airlines, retired early rather than re-train so he could fly planes with jet engines
A west point grad who went on to get a masters from MIT in ballistics. After that did various jobs but was never really able to apply his schooling

good question, @ericmbudd.com do you have any answer to this? my impression is that Neguse isn't really interested in big things right now, just want to focus on serving his constituents.
it's just a phase you'll grow out of it soon enough
I know he's gonna be blatantly dishonest and misleading but at least he and/or his editor could make it not so inelegant
this is my favorite Fiona Apple album, btw
amen
he's just a pathetic little man who has been given all the power in the world
Group chat is chuffed about this new album. Really bubbly vibes of you're up for that kind of thing

not the main point but I've read the phrase "the abstract of one since mostly debunked paper" and I don't know what that is supposed to mean. should it be single instead of since?
I'm crunching the numbers, walking around barefoot and it sounds like I'm stepping on cockroaches
None of the people yelling at Noem are gonna vote to remove her from office or do anything to pull back DHS. They just wanna look like they're opposed
All this reminds me of the Mars Hill situation. Pretty much no one involved had an issue with Driscoll's theology, they just didn't like the way he went about it.

when life gives you shrimp and garlic and white wine and butter and linguini and parsley, why not make some scampi?
the Raytheon campus in Aurora, CO, is littered with streamers and balloons and confetti, almost as if they had a big celebration
friend sent this over from the other place and unfortunately I did laugh
