I've seen so much lately that's just "The world is terrible and people are suffering and it's provably all being done intentionally by bad people with all the money in the world", and not nearly enough "Here's what can be done / is being done about it." Like we're all just supposed to accept it??
Haven't been able to do much at all on the content side lately, save for planning TTRPG stuff and touching up old story notes. Been getting motivated to write again, though, and I have a music co-mission lined up that I'm excited to start on once I finally climb out of this hole.
I'll keep pushing.
I'm still fighting, cycling ADHD meds to see what'll help. Methylphenidate solved all my problems but introduced too many new ones. Tried Atomoxetine for a month; didn't help at all and even left me bedridden at times. Now I'm starting Bupropion and hoping for the best.

Little update since I've been gone.
That numbness I got hit with has mostly faded. Scariest thing now is honestly the medical bill that came from it. $1k+ bill while disabled w/o benefits or income and only half that in the bank is horribly taxing to my nerves.

I haven't touched the game in ages and had no idea there was a survival mode like that. I can't imagine playing that game with food requirements 😭
It can be frustrating the first time through, especially if you're playing blind and alone. The game does dramatically transform once you find a few upgrades, though! I'd say explore for chests and keep pushing until you find/make a decent enough weapon to survive nights without hiding. Then decide.

Hopefully. My guesses are it's either a lingering remnant of a really bad migraine I had on Thursday, a side effect of medication I've been taking for dandruff, or the stimulant constricting blood vessels complicated by an underdeveloped vertebral artery. I'm mostly just hoping it fades. 🥲
Also had to cut back on the stimulant I was prescribed, just in case it caused the numbness. Which is a damn shame, because it was helping a LOT. So now I'm back below even square one and need to figure out what my next steps are while fighting executive dysfunction again.

Scary ER trip last weekend after I suddenly lost sensation on my left side. On the one hand, I'm glad we could rule out that it was anything dangerous. On the other hand, I'm still numb, have little idea why, and now with no current income I have to fix this while avoiding falling into medical debt.
Managed to get the meat and bones of it ready in time to present live as a cutscene for tonight's PF2e session. They loved it 🥺
Gonna pace w/ the rest of it now that the deadline's passed. I'll post it soon™️!! (lil WIP here in the meantime)

Yes!! At least with the animation, I'll be showing off multiple at once. Though my partner's helping with a lot of art assets and my players have thrown in their own contributions, the music, sketches, and scripting are mostly all my own. I'm finally putting the polymath juices to use together! 😤
One bonus of these meds is that it seems to do away w/ the things that make it dangerous for me to spend much time on here. When my workload clears up, I'm thinking of scheduling some time to spend interacting more around here and posting stuff up again. Hopefully you'll see me around more soon!
Between that, remastering basically all my music, inheriting my brother's drawing tablet (now that he's gotten himself a MUCH shinier one), learning music prod. and jamming w/ friends, getting commissioned for a vg music reduction, and starting a merch business w/ my partner... I think I'll be okay.
I've been finally making solid, steady progress on the animation that I planned to make back in October. It's become somewhat a collaboration between all of my players (w/o most of them even knowing). Hoping to have most of it ready by our session tomorrow night. Can't wait for them to see it!
Been a bit since my last update on here. Been meaning to make another blog post thing for the past two months, but just never got around to it.
Finally got diagnosed and medicated for ADHD, and the results have been night and day. I've been stuck for a while, but that stuck is finally gone for now.

The funniest part is that this isn't even the only cosmic coincidence that has manifested in our game. Literally everything is falling exactly into place, whether through all the plans and predictions I've made or through sheer impossible chance. And everyone is terrified. 😭😆
One player made art for an in-game symbol that was loaded with meaning. Sparking a scene where another leaned on irl fantasy language research that can only be described as cosmic coincidences made manifest in-game.
Which then indirectly solved one of the earliest mysteries in the entire campaign.
Still riding the high from a successful GMing session last night. There's something beautiful about things that have been set up for years, both on the players' ends and mine, coincidentally and purposely coming together in ways that feel like the universe is conspiring both in and out of game. 😆
