They had one of these at my university's bookstore and I'm both glad (because I didn't have the money to spend!) and sad that I didn't get one.

Evan Solomon is a weaselly, spineless toady of big tech, and his boss is the guy Evan unethically brokered art sales for.
Good luck waiting for a response.
First time? Oh, you're in for a treat!
If you liked this, you'll probably also like Uncle Buck.
Apparently okay if the boot on our collective necks is on a brown foot.
This is like the Democratic response to "Abolish ICE" being "Hire more women officers in the camps!"
He actually doesn't fire people himself, at least outside of the highly staged environment of the game show.
That's one of the interesting things about him, and people like him, is that they're actually cowards about confrontation.
The man’s whole life is a lesson in the impact of zero repercussions.
I mean, a respectable amount of the political and economic elite are apparently paedophiles, so My Sharona is entirely appropriate.
Maybe this time the Democrats will actually hold people accountable instead of "moving forward" and "letting the nation heal".
Not putting Bush people in jail for war crimes on foreign soil paved the way for Trump committing war crimes domestically
(jailing some business bros for fraud is ok too)
This sort of thing needs to be stapled to the foreheads of centrists the world over who believe they can only meet the electorate where they are, and cannot every set policy or influence opinion.
I'm reminded of a Terry Pratchett quote:
"My bum has been my bum for a very long time, but I don't have to listen to anything it days"
…whenever someone uses "experience" to whitewash unearned credibility.
rewatching STAR WARS (despecialized) & noticing it's great hidden strength: Marcia Lucas' rapidfire editing. by not lingering on anything, it creates a distinct feeling of lively, lived-in realism that most sci-fi & fantasy films miss w/their 'look at this!' money shots. #FilmSky 📽️
Someone knows he wont win another term and it trying to cash out while he can.
I mean, that's fair.
Hungary first, though.
I like the Excelsior for this reason.
If you've ever worked for a toxic small or medium business, you've seen this pattern of incompetent lackeys hired to be loyal and not outshine the boss.
Isn't JLR still digging itself out from the damage of that jack a few months back?
And they outsold Tesla?
Killfiles ftw
Bluesky was constructed for pretty much the polar opposite demographic that it attracted, and it will never not be funny. 🥲
Hey, someone should ask Keir Starmer how this is working out for them.
Is this an "incestuous media bubble" thing but where everyone in national politics is stuck listening to their preferred sources, and those sources are out of sync with everyone else?
I'm really worried to see our conservative leaders and influencera starting to pull the "everyone who doesn't vote for us is a godless communist atheist pervert", though.
It started during the pandemic and it's getting worse now that Poillievre can't just differentiate himself as "not Trudeau."
Hammer Films trending on Bluesky today? We love to see it 🖤
I'm curious to see a teardown of this thing. Really getting PowerMac 4400 vibes, here
I'm expecting to find a cost-engineered design using a lot of off the shelf stuff, possibly even something that hints this started life as a Chromebook from another OEM.
I take back the Quadra 630 comment.
This feels more PowerMac 4400
I need to read up on the trackpad, because I'm having visions of the usual fleet-grade garbage Dell and HP inflict on people.
MacBook LC
Ugh.
Trying to figure out why; USB-C cables carries the video signals, or no monitor would work, and there's no VRAM limit other than system RAM.
This feels like its a software limit, which is worse than if it was hardware.
I'm thinking about the 5.25 bay and sitting it back a few mm so that the door doesn't touch the control panel, but the sping-loaded part of the door would take some figuring out.
Maybe put on a weaker spring and a little grab handle?
Didn't know about the WiFi, though, that's neat!
I’ve been considering one of these for my B&W G3, but I think I'd need to think about how to get it to work with the G3's faceplate.
Very cool, though.
