Graphic featuring a quote in the centre, which reads:
“Covid-19 has a profound and lasting impact on cardiovascular health, with complications emerging during acute illness, recovery, and even after reinfections or vaccination.”
Dr. Vassilios Vassiliou, lead author of “Cardiovascular disease prevention and management in Covid-19,” a clinical consensus statement
The text is placed on a background showing an ECG chart with a subtle navy and teal gradient overlay.
There is strong research evidence that Covid-19 and Long Covid increase the risk of many cardiovascular conditions, including heart attacks, clotting events, POTS, vascular ageing and more.

I lack the words to capture it, but ... it's just endlessly remarkable to me that so many people in our society have chosen trans kis -- TRANS KIDS, the smallest, least significant, most vulnerable demographic slice you could possibly pick -- as a repository for all their fears & insecurities.

Russia is providing Iran intelligence to target U.S. forces, officials say
The targeting information has included the locations of American warships and aircraft in the Middle East, the officials said.
This is interesting. But it is more interesting that Trump is rewarding Moscow for doing this by helping Russia sell oil, repeating Russian propaganda points, and senselessly burning through weapon stocks.

I'm unsure how people really think people were downplaying a virus that can kill you, make you go blind, wipe out your immune system for years, and oh yeah come back and kill you a decade after you thought you'd shaken it.

David Eby, on camera, admits that he axed the carbon tax because of corporate lobbying. Cutting it made life more expensive for workers and cheaper for big polluters.
He says BC is too dependent on resource extraction - and yet their plan is to triple down on American-owned gas projects.

Carney endorsing Trump's *actions* was never the biggest problem here. Just as clearly, and far worse, he endorses Trump's & Netanyahu’s *justifications.*
He doesn’t want to appear supportive of Trump’s *methods,* but very firmly continues to back Trump's & Netanyahu's *narrative.* 19/

i think if you're going to approach electoralism, it has to be with the notion that electeds are the adversary, regardless of who they are
the framework is easy:
when they do something good, it's because we successfully pressured them to. bad, they did something they wanted to do, despite us

COVID Consciousness as a Subculture
The nostalgia freeze is a crisis of imagination. COVID consciousness is a way out.
"It’s 2026, & culture has frozen into nostalgia—
...creators like Abby Mahler have spoken about the ways COVID has kept us stuck...refusing to grieve, or even acknowledge, the lost life, ability, time, opportunities, & freedoms we had before the ongoing pandemic made the world more hostile."

so, idk, to me it makes more sense to just mask up and keep viruses out of my body.
then i don’t have to hope that my waning booster protection will protect me from damage i didn’t have to risk all if i didn’t get infected in the first place.

Helsinki just went a full year without a single traffic death
The capital city is Finnish’ed with car-related fatalities.
“Helsinki hasn’t registered a single traffic-related fatality in the past year…Citing data that shows the risk of pedestrian fatality is cut in half by reducing a car’s speed from 40 to 30km/hr, city officials imposed the lower limit in most of Helsinki’s residential areas and city center in 2021.”
