Certainly not.
The passengers don't seem at all impressed either.
Just 32 days till April 1.
Snap!

Wait, let's get this right.
So you can write a piece about an architect's fantasy as if it MIGHT be viable; get it published in a national newspaper AND get paid for it?
We're in the wrong business π€¦

True. But the UK's current 'fix' of going full pelt for discontinuous electric + batteries is a bit concerning.
Ought to just do a Proper Job, at least on main routes.
Hmmm...never thought hydrogen was a serious 'alternative fuel' contender for most public transport anyway.
Fortunately @lothianbuses.bsky.social seems to have focussed on 'lectric.
(Also applies to trains. Battery weight is still a problem though.)

NEW on our website:
edinburghbususers.group/closed-bus-s...
Help us get a handle on how many bus stops have been removed or closed (permanently or temporarily) for more than a month.
Tell us about them on our short survey form!
Case in point: @lothianbuses.bsky.social quietly (as is their wont) observing that we'll need bigger bus stops eventually.
But there's some bus lanes.π
And, as if by magic, much less congestion π
@sw20.info @spokes.org.uk
And not a bus lane in sight.
Next step; bus route/ bus lane overlayπ
I built βCycle-Scopeβ - a weekly-updated active-travel roadworks map using Scottish road works data. It features, Quick filters with (cycle hangers, shared paths, signals/crossings) + extra map layers. Have a look: city-scope.co.uk/cycle-scope
than the 38, which doesn't.
Not aware of research disaggregating the effect of each factor in congestion: traffic levels, roadworks, non-enforcement (& CEC removing bus priorities!)
The message re the 43 & 38 is the 43, which benefits from priority measures, lost less time over the years than

Are you thinking of this?

As one of our Committee said when someone suggested the network was outdated and needs restructuring:
'Maybe there's a good reason why it's been basically the same for years?'
P.S. we don't believe you're at least 66 years years old.
Lothian Buses and predecessors; thankfully not reorganising and reimagining everything every decade just because of a senior management whim.
No, that's not our curator.
75 days to the Holyrood elections, and a reminder of what should be in any good manifesto:

Also: IOHO red stone chips should be reserved for applications set out in the Edinburgh Street Design Guide e.g. bus and cycle lanes, not scattered willy-nilly so they become meaningless to road users.
Ahem.
