I love that I randomly found someone else who listens to Dan and Jordan while I was searching to see if I was the only one having Reddit issues.

If you've noticed your phone's screen flickering and the brightness going wild when scrolling through Instagram, try going into Instagram's Settings > Accessibility then toggling the "Disable HDR Video Playback" option. It seems to have fixed the issue for me. Hopefully it helps you too.

AI is probably coming for our jobs, but first it has to wake up and realize that no human person ever uses an em dash (—) in normal conversations.
PSA: If you are looking for controller extension cables for your PC Engine, I just got some of these from Kraydad and they work perfectly. They're reasonably priced and are black, unlike many of the other mini din cables I've seen. Highly recommended. www.kraydad.com/mini-din-8-p...
I *really* hope that most of the posts and comments that I routinely have to remove from the Facebook group I run are from bots. Otherwise, we are surrounded by sadists and sociopaths, and that's a much tougher problem to solve than any governmental overreach.
Have the day you voted for
The fascists are trying to wear you down so you give up. It's OK to take a break when you need one. When you're tired, rest so you can recharge. We have a long road ahead.

A modified Nintendo Game Boy Pocket with a modern backlit screen to the left of a Game Boy Light. Both handhelds are at the Tetris title screen.
After years of searching for one in decent condition at a “reasonable price,” I finally have a Game Boy Light.
Yes, modern displays are better in every way, but I’m glad to finally have this electroluminescent goodness in my collection.
The best way to determine that the electronic device you thought was broken is actually fine is to buy a new one. Then, when the replacement acts up too you can spend three hours looking into the issue. Only to learn it was a privacy setting in your phone all along.
What's with the new trend of people walking around talking into their phone held horizontally in front of them on speakerphone?
Also, get off my lawn.
The silence is deafening.
This afternoon I seem to have been signed up for a bunch of mailing lists from "legit" companies. I guess it's Spam since I didn't ask for it, but this is a new one.
The taillight panel and rear crossmember of a 1966 Ford Mustang undergoing an amateur restoration.
The new crossmember is now welded to the floor, taillight panel, and the ends of the frame rails. Next up will be to close up the access holes that I cut in the taillight panel so we could slide the floor over the replacement rails. There’s still plenty to do, but today was a good day.
The rusty rear crossmember of a 1966 Ford Mustang laid next to a new replacement.
A replacment rear crossmember of a 1966 Ford Mustang clamped in place.
It turns out that the replacement crossmember’s flange where the valance screws in is slightly longer than the original. Once I figured that out, it made getting things lined up way easier. A few hours of convincing and panel prep and now things are clamped in place and ready to be welded to the car

The passenger side trunk floor is attached and I did a test fit of the new rear crossmember from NPD. It’s a heavier gauge of metal than the stock one which is not a bad thing, but it’s going to take a bit of convincing to get it where it needs to be in the car.

The passenger side trunk floor of a 1966 Ford Mustang partially welded in place.
This weekend we repaired the TIG welder foot pedal and got the passenger side trunk floor in place. It’s going to take a bunch of creative clamping, but after some initial plug welds it’s looking like things are coming together nicely.
Be excellent to each other.

The passenger side rear frame rail repair piece welded in a 1966 Ford Mustang undergoing an amateur restoration.
The passenger side rear frame rail replacement section is welded in. We battled humidity and a broken TIG welder foot pedal, but it’s in. Now to let the paint inside the rail dry before we attach the trunk floor. It’s a slow go, but we’re getting there.
Everyone knows I'm not a football fan, but Barkley kissing the ring was really disappointing to see.
We’re told that we should be concerned about TDA gang members. I only just now realized that the administration didn’t mean Tren de Aragua, they meant Trump Destroying America.
The accusations are always confessions.

This is far beyond OK. I wish I knew what to do.

Apparently searching for a "phrase in quotes" doesn't work properly on the @bsky.app iOS or iPadOS app, but seems to on the web interface. What a weird bug.
It's ridiculous that the entire world's economy is riding on the whims of one demented asshole. Congress has the power to stop this, but the question is, will they?
Everyone in the United States got a pay cut yesterday. Gotta say, I'm not loving that.
