Once you learn how to build things, the desire to keep doing it never goes away.
Planning a small talk for the upcoming iOS developer happy hour on the steps I took to get a job as a new iOS developer and how I was able to use that same framework to make an impact as a new dev on an established team. If thereβs any questions youβd like me to answer lmk so I can weave it in.
Three screenshots of the new quiz mode feature.
Finally got around to adding a quiz mode to Legal Terms! Still in review but I've wanted to do this for a long time so I'm happy it's done.
Iβve had an unusual lack of clarity about my next goal and what steps I need to take to get there. This is probably going to be fleshed out more as a long-form blog post as I continue to process all my thoughts.
Four screenshots showing different screens of the app: quest details, the grand exchange, a skill calculator, and an AFK timer.
I made a companion app for Old School RuneScape π€. This was originally just a way for me to track progress through the Optimal Quest Guide but kept growing as I kept finding fun things I could do with it. It got approved today! π
Thereβs an iOS app waiting for review too. Hopefully I can sneak that in before the end of the year so I can feel like I accomplished something in the second half of the year.
It's a super duper MVP but it'll continue to get updates over time until my vision for it is fully realized.

Almost a year to the date of my last *new* app release, SingTheSong is now out on visionOS! I'm still building apps for visionOS because it's FUN. This one listens to the music playing in your environment and displays real-time lyrics. Made this one for my fellow vinyl enthusiasts.
My app I submitted last weekend got rejected so I fixed the issues and resubmitted that and another new app iβd been working on. Both are super MVPs but fingers crossed Iβll get to add two more apps to my portfolio this week.
Nice!!!! I hope we get to see your magic on visionOS soon πππΎ
Thank you!! This was a great nudge for me to go and make one.
Putting finishing touches on app 1 of 2 for release ππΎ. Itβs another visionOS project I made for fun just because. Hoping for a smooth review process so I can move on to iOS project Iβm working on.
Congratulations! Have the best time π₯Ή
Weβre hiring an iOS engineer at Tibber! Come work on an almost fully SwiftUI project, for a good cause (pushing renewable energy), with awesome colleagues (including me π) and a considerate work/life balance in focus. EU based.

Teaching myself more about LLM cli tools and trying to learn what in the world MCP is. I feel so far behind when it comes to understanding whatβs going on in the world of AI. Forever trying to sip from a firehose.
Itβs so hard π
I have two side projects Iβve been working on getting release ready. Needing to take my own advice and remind myself not to wait until theyβre perfect, but allow them to exist as MVPs that get improved over time. Also forcing myself to only work on them during weekends. Balance!
Congratulations!!!!
Congratulations!!!
All four app updates got approved. Cannoisseur, Legal Terms, ShinyDex all got (very late) Liquid Glass updates. Vinyl Vision got a bug fix. Next, Iβm going to try adding some simple App Intents into Legal Terms. It also needs a lot of accessibility work.
My biggest focuses these past few quiet months have been figuring out to be useful at my job, and learning all I can about optimizing SwiftUI code for accessibility tools. For those of you who have been doing this work for a while, how do you feel about the IAAP certs?
Pushed out some long overdue updates for four apps this weekend and it felt *great*. Believe all the things they say about rest! Everything is still in review but hopefully these approvals are smooth.
This weekend I hope to get as many of my (extremely late) iOS 26 updates out as I can. Thankfully a lot of the work was already done, I just never sent them out for review.
I took a very extended social media break and now Iβm trying to be back. Weβll see how this goes.
Thank you Danny!
