Been using #procreate for years and I can't recommend it enough. But the smudge tool is really meh and I barely touch it. Not sure if I just haven't found the right brush/settings or if it's just the implementation that doesn't sit right with me?

I wouldn't try to ship a commercial game using exclusively stock assets. But if it's just a hobby project, then who cares?
Also It's pretty common for game designers to just use boxes and primitives for concepting their idea, and bring on artists when they are confident in the base mechanics.
