I have also taken the train between Zittau and Görlitz, Germany. There is one stop in Poland. Video: not mine.

I have only done the Zittau to Liberec route on the local train that partly goes through Poland for 2.7 km. I was on the old trains in 2005 (pre-Schengen) and more modern trains in 2013 (Schengen). Pre-Schengen border checks for both Germany and Czechia were done in Zittau.

If a strong NDP vote means a Conservative government, it means that the Liberal government is ignoring the needs of more progressive voters. It means that the Liberals and Conservatives are equal in their ideas.

One should be cautious about combining NDP and Liberal votes or combining NDP and Green votes. In all cases, when one of two parties dominate, that party will not achieve 100% of the weaker party's support. The weaker party's support may be split with some voting Conservative, and some not voting.

PP does have his hardline supporters. He also has some supporters who switched from the NDP and Liberals to the Conservatives. It is possible for the next NDP leader to reach out to Conservatives and Liberals who may not be satisfied with right-wing economics.

I don't know if the Trump régime wants poor people to die. Its rich supporters think that poor people are expendable. If poor people are too weak, it doesn't matter if they die.

When the NDP is weak, we end up with a far-right Conservative Party and a right-of-centre Liberal Party.

- Bike lanes; sort of giving in. Others are fighting for them.
- Island Airport: give in;

One problem with Olivia Chow is that she doesn't seem to fight back. It doesn't mean that she will win. It means that she doesn't need to be appearing to give in when an issue comes her way. #topoli

I don't know how Olivia Chow will do in the next mayoral election. If she becomes weaker, part of the reason may be because she will have alienated her more progressive supporters who expected her to do more. #topoli

Olivia Chow (and other major candidates) lack an urban vision for Toronto. Why should I "buy into Toronto?" Why would I want to stay here when I retire? What is there for young families? What is there for tourists? What is there for a quality of life? #topoli
