Utility-first CSS frameworks, such as Tailwind, work well for prototyping and smaller projects. Their benefits quickly diminish, however, when used in larger projects involving more than a couple of developers.

If you want to mix ads in with stuff - or you want to direct people to content on which more ads or more profitable ads will be shown - you want their experience to be a random mix of algorithmic swill so it doesn't stick out so clearly
Reverse chronological sort is literally the easiest thing you can do, far less intensive than whatever they're doing to calculate the remaining (useless) "Relevance" and "Popularity" filters
