my advice would be take a fast 50mm, ideally a 40, as it's just the right fov for portraits across a table
it's not an events lens but it is perfect for casual candid
indoor flash gets old real quick so hp5 at 3200 or delta at 6400 is my choice
and take a roll of slide for daylight if present
rangefinder: no close up never gonna work indoors, might as well get a point and shoot
medium format: gods this is heavy but the noise is fantastic
large format: you will get exactly
one chance for a shot so do that one shot and put camera back in hotel room
the carrying thing is just "it's a wedding, you will be meandering and your arms will get tired"
i took a minox to my brothers wedding for fun
if you're worried about the photos, take a digital, indoors and low light are simply not going to be your friends
i would recommend a statement piece, something weird that people will ask about, but ideally something you can carry with you
we exist on a zx spectrum
i am being a little tongue in cheek but in all honesty i'm not really going out, hanging out, being that social
and i'm embracing it heh
my yahoo! account turns 28 years old this year
a bike sticker showing the protagonist of nezha versus the dragon king, captioned "miserable"
it's not exactly lost or obscure but it is a little weird bumping into stickers reusing art from a 1979 chinese animated feature but i guess edinburgh is like that
the last time this happened, i was on a train out of oxford, watching the film on my laptop, when a complete stranger stopped, pointed and went "what?" in a 'that's a film of my childhood, why are you watching it? in the uk?'
and yeah i explained 'bbc screened it in the 1980s'
a still from nezha and the dragon king, nezha, now a teenager, dances across the waves, using a spear to command the tides
in other news, i found someone else who remembers watching "nezha and the dragon king", a 1979 chinese animation that was screened on the bbc
embracing my nae pals era, big day
honestly i tear up a little thinking about the end of the original ova
gainax's best mecha anime
struggling with the idea there's an industry shift when american tech has always been bankrolled by mil or fed contracts
shoutout to the 1 am alarm outside ruining everyone else's night
give tetris effect a try sometime, it's a different vibe, as the difficulty comes in waves rather than just ramping up
* almost unchanged let's not get into a conversation about spins and kicks
tetris 99, tetris effect, tgm 1,2,3,4 i think it's six
here's a free take: tetris is probably the best video game of all time
not for reasons like "it made the gameboy a success" or how many units sold, but simply it is one of the few games that has stuck around almost unchanged for 40ish years
my9games but it's just rez infinite, vib ribbon and tetris effect
i am not a video game player
the joke is hearing "don't stop, keep going" and being unable to infer the context
bolinas
sounds like someone needs to back off womp womp
(but yes that did happen heh)
first class seat on a train
technically he was just the major of london then
he seemed to understand or make noises that indicated understanding and then moved on
all the other stupid facts like "made a lot of crow friends" or "got a demo of xanadu from ted nelson" are all entirely on brand tbh
had to explain what recursion was to boris johnson at a press event
