give tetris effect a try sometime, it's a different vibe, as the difficulty comes in waves rather than just ramping up
* almost unchanged let's not get into a conversation about spins and kicks
tetris 99, tetris effect, tgm 1,2,3,4 i think it's six
here's a free take: tetris is probably the best video game of all time
not for reasons like "it made the gameboy a success" or how many units sold, but simply it is one of the few games that has stuck around almost unchanged for 40ish years
my9games but it's just rez infinite, vib ribbon and tetris effect
i am not a video game player
the joke is hearing "don't stop, keep going" and being unable to infer the context
bolinas
sounds like someone needs to back off womp womp
(but yes that did happen heh)
first class seat on a train
technically he was just the major of london then
he seemed to understand or make noises that indicated understanding and then moved on
all the other stupid facts like "made a lot of crow friends" or "got a demo of xanadu from ted nelson" are all entirely on brand tbh
had to explain what recursion was to boris johnson at a press event
back on the barry white
bad news for anyone planning to wear a cradle of filth t-shirt and or watching the anime: legend of the overfiend, uncut
in britain the only forms of protected speech are calling a policeman's horse gay and arkell v pressdram
i understand other people are getting in trouble with moderation
me? i would simply live in a country with strong libel laws and no constitutionally protected speech, and so therefore
please don't put on the distributed social network that i was mad
this only makes you more french

the only certainty of the future is that people will sell ai like they do agile. you're not holding it right. your developers can be more productive if only you hire me to consult
we're not even at the dod-esque powerpoint levels of adoption yet, outside of how the funding works
me, i think the big issue is that there is just no good way to stop confused deputies,
well, that and the whole 'encourages scitzotypial thinking' stuff, or the deskilling nature of delegating work, or the poisoning of the dataset, or the ease of fraud or performative work
i guess i just worry
by comparison i am seeing more success stories from operations people, or things where people throw away the code, or run it once, or where rewriting is the expected form of maintenance, or 'just give me boilerplate' situations
better lint tools is a bit hit or miss but it's worth mentioning
at one place, feature development had all but dried up, as years of drive by commits and outsourced development meant that any cross cutting changes became a minefield to navigate
ai became the way in which all of these problems would go away, and yet somehow things did not get unstuck
the thing to bear in mind is that people genuinely believe that ai will undo all the mistakes of the current means of producing software, rather than compound them as ever
some people are really buying into the 'one silver bullet' theory and some workplaces have metrics to hit
the future is very unevenly distributed, alas
realising that once again i did not eat more than a packet of salami and half a packet of olives today
i'm gonna have to set alarms at this rate
nothing to see here, just relatable content for fellow employable people
