Another hack you can use is to limit the number of days listed on AppSumo, and make a lifetime deal available for a few months afterwards so that they won't take too much communication
We at jupitrr.ai made a term which you cannot change your email after purchasing with AppSumo. Some users still complain but we decided not to give a shit
It's good if you need quick cash and traction given that your TAs are SMEs. We got arnd $50k post commission which is pretty good for Jupitrr first launch, but they took like 80% of our revenue as commission.
Another issue is that AppSumo users tend to have more complaints but we are fine with that
